Overview
Connecting your team's Google Drive enables Opine to surface the documents, presentations, and spreadsheets that are central to your buyer's evaluation. File activity provides context to Opine AI so it can better summarize deal progress, identify gaps, and recommend next steps.
How Opine Uses Google Calendar Data
All Google data is used in accordance with our privacy policy.
Opine requests read-only access to the Drive files that you explicitly grant access. We never write, move, or delete content in your Google Drive.
Once you complete configuring the Google Calendar integration, these capabilities are enabled.
Attach Google Drive files and documents to deals so they appear in the File Centre.
Generate AI summaries of long-form documents to accelerate onboarding.
Ask questions about linked documents in chat experiences.
Create new content (e.g. Document Templates) using Google Drive context as grounding data.
Configure
Take these steps to configure the integration.
Verify the Google Workspace domain that hosts the Drive files relevant to your deals.
Authorize Opine to access your users' Drive metadata through domain-wide delegation.
Connect the integration in your Opine organization.
Please note:
Once an Opine organization has connected to a Google Workspace, the hosted domain is now reserved. No other Opine organization can attach Drive files from this domain.
Only files the logged in Opine user can read in the hosted domain are available. We use their email address when authorizing API calls to enforce Google permissions. This means that users' email addresses must be in the authorized domain.
Verify Domain
Visit the Google Drive integration installation page in your Opine organization. The integration setup screen shows the Domain detected from your user email. That is the Google Workspace domain that must delegate access. Opine will only import files associated with email addresses in this domain.
Authorize
Authorize Opine by granting domain-wide delegation to our Google Service Account (learn more). The Google Workspace administrator making the change in the Google Admin console must be a domain admin.
In the Google Workspace admin console:
Visit Security → API Controls → Domain-wide Delegation in your Workspace Admin settings
In the list of API Clients, click Add new, or use the existing client if you've installed our Google Calendar integration with domain-wide delegation

Click Authorize to grant domain-wide delegation

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.fileis the most restrictive scope available, limiting access to individual files explicitly chosen by authorized users to grant to Opine.
Connect
Once domain-wide delegation has been granted, visit the Google Drive integration installation page in your Opine organization, confirm that authorization is detected, and click Connect.
Link Documents to Deals
Open a Deal in Opine and navigate to the File Center.
Click Add Google Drive Files and select the documents you want to link to the deal.
Future Deal analysis will consider the document content until it is deleted from the File Center.
