Connect Slack channels

Connect your deal channels to Opine to ingest data.

If your team and customers use Slack to communicate with each other, you’ll want to connect relevant Slack channels to deals in Opine so that Opine AI can automatically identify blockers, next steps, or insights from Slack discussions.

Enable the Slack integration

If you haven’t already done so, you’ll need to make sure that the Slack integration is enabled in Opine.

Invite the Opine Slack bot to each channel

To invite the Opine Slack bot to a channel:

1. Open the channel in Slack.

2. Type / and select Add apps to this channel.

3. Find Opine and add it to the channel.

Connect your deal channels to Opine

To do this:

1. Click Deals in the main navigation.

2. Locate the Deal you want to connect and click on it.

3. Click the Connections button in the Deal view.

4. Under Slack, specify the channels you want to connect.

Opine supports two types of Slack channels for ingestion:

1. Customer Slack Connect Channel: Use this if you have a shared Slack Connect channel with the customer to capture direct communications between your teams.

2. Internal Slack Channel: Use this to track discussions within your team about the deal, providing critical internal context.

Connecting your Slack channels to Opine unlocks additional AI-powered insights by incorporating conversations from both customer and internal teams.

Once your channels are connected, you’re ready to share the evaluation Plan with your buyer.
